In this lesson I explain how to find and practice the 96 melodies for any 4 note structure or 7th chord. In this example I play the 7th chord through the modes or chords of the major scale. This method can be applied to any 4 note set or 7th chord. I can also be applied to any chord scale. Chances are you have only ever played a very small fraction of the potential 7th chord melodies that are available. This approach, although explained in “closed position” can be expanded using spread voicings for at least double the amount of potential melodies.
