This is a Jazz Etude I wrote over the chord changes to “Old Milestones”. I wrote and taught the Etude in lessons to my students by ear.
This was a method that Barry Harris often used in lessons which I think is really valuable and allows for a variety of teaching approaches including ear training, theoretical discussion, concept implementation, time and feel work etc.
